John the Baptist

Today it is the feast of Saint John the Baptist.
It is a High Feast in the Church and so we celebrate it with extra candles and incense, during mass.
I do'nt have pictures of our mass today, sadly, but it was nice.




Vandaag vieren wij het feest van de heilige Johannes de doper.
Het is een hoogfeest in de kerk en daarom hebben ook extra kaarsen en wierook tijdens de mis.
Ik heb geen foto's van de mis van vandaag, jammer genoeg, maar het was mooi.

New Bisshop (Nieuwe bisschop)

The diocese of Groningen has a new Bisshop. Our previeus Bisshop became the Archbisshop (in our only Arch diocese, Utrecht). The new Bisshop is Gerard de Korte, auxiliary Bisshop of Utrecht. Hopefully he will continue to build up the diocese.

It is in Dutch, but for the people who can read Dutch or German, it is a bit possible. It is also possible that you can regonise words, related to Englsih or to the Birmingham dialect.

On 13th September is his installation in the Cathedral of Groningen.

Het bisdom Groningen heeft een nieuwe bisschop. Onze vorige bisshop was Aardsbisshop geworden (van in onze enige aardsbisdom. Utrecht) De nieuwe bisschop is Gerard de Korte, hulpbisshop van Utrecht. Hopelijk zal hij verder gaan met het opbouwen van het bisdom.
Hij is een zeer vriendelijke man en hij zei dat hij de mensen wilde harmoniseren. Hier is de link van het nieuwsberictht.

St. Antony from Padua (H. Antonius van Padua)

Dear friends,

Perhaps a bit late, but yesterday it was the feast of St. Antony from Padua. He is my patronsaint, so it was a little feast. On the same day, I also passed some very important exames. I prayed for it trough the intersession of him. An novena to be exact.

Tomorrow (15th June) we celebrate fathers'day! CONGRATULATIONS FATHERS!

Beste vrienden,

Misschien een beetje laat, maar gisteren was het het feest van H. Antonius van Padua. hij is mijn patroon heilge, zo was het dus een beetje feest. Op dezelfde dag ben ik geslaagd voor een paar zeer belangrijke examens. Daarvoor had ik gebeden op voorspraak van hem. Een noveen om precies te zijn.
